The power of love, and Facebook.

[line] [dropcap]M[/dropcap]organ, of Bridgeport, and Michael, a Morgantown native, met online in
a Facebook group for incoming freshman attending James Madison University in
2009. They instantly clicked and talked online or by phone for several months before actually meeting, which they did after their first semester of college during winter break. They began to date and, on Christmas day five years later, the couple had just finished opening their presents from one another when Michael told her he forgot a present and went to get it. He came back with a sweatshirt and a letter, and the final line to the letter held the big question. Michael got down on one knee and asked her those familiar words. A little more than a year later, their big day finally arrived. Morgan walked down the aisle at First Presbyterian Church in Clarksburg in a modern fit-and-flare gown from the Martina Liana collection. The dress featured silk Moroccan body-hugging fabric and a strapless sweetheart bodice and court train, which she paired with Michael Kors shoes and Chloe + Isabel earrings. The bride and bridesmaids carried bouquets in a wintry mix of greenery with creamy white roses, eucalyptus berries, and pinecones. After the ceremony, the party gathered at Pete Dye Golf Club for celebrating and dancing. The couple cut into a small red velvet cake with vanilla buttercream icing, and guests also could try six flavors of cupcakes. Favors included bags of homemade cookies brought by families and friends. Even in the middle of January, the weather was not too cold, and a romantic light dusting of snow on the golf course made for a beautiful backdrop. Aside from the bride throwing her bouquet into a light fixture on the first try, the happy couple couldn’t have asked for a better day to celebrate their marriage with family and friends. Instead of going on a honeymoon, Morgan and Michael decided to save up for their big move to Charlotte, North Carolina, where Michael works as a loan officer for MVB Bank.
